"A hail of Fun and Frolick." New York Times
They Came Back! Those wacky and zany Nuns returned to the
Shorewood Stage by Popular demand! (Well not really, but they made me say
that!)
Directed by John Aceto and with Gerry Kasik reprising
her hilarious mother superior. (It’s true but then I'd say anything
for enough money!)
The Little Sisters of Hoboken operate Mount Saint Helen's School in
Hoboken, New Jersey They went unnoticed until one day their cook, "Sister
Julia — Child of God", unwittingly served some tainted vichyssoise soup
and 52 sisters died of botulism. Fortunately a few of the sisters were
off playing "bingo with some Maryknolls" and so were spared. Mother Superior
started a greeting card company to raise funds for the burials of the 52.
The greeting cards were an enormous success and thinking there was plenty
of money, Reverend Mother bought a DVD for the convent. When she realized
there was only enough money left to bury 48, she decided to stage a talent
show to raise the money to bury the last four sisters who were put on ice
in the convent deep freeze. And….(ORGAN MUSIC)…Monday the Board of Health
is coming for their annual inspection! (Yes its true!..Gasp!…Horror!…What
will happen?!) Will the dead sisters gain their well deserved proper ending
or will they stay "on ice"!! Will there be a happy ending? What if the
electricity goes off? (Yuck! Don't go there!)
