Irish poet Pat Boran of Dublin received
the 12th annual Lawrence O'Shaughnessy Award for Poetry from the University
of St. Thomas Center for Irish Studies. Boran was born in Portlaoise, Ireland,
in 1963, and currently lives in Dublin, where he has been Writer-in-Residence
