| The Photographer of the Year was chosen by the judges from amongst
the large number of excellent prizewinners. This photographer has presented
a comprehensive portfolio, which is very sharp – both in a technical and
observational sense. The sensibility and enterprise that a press photographer
must demonstrate is readily evident and, while there is an underlying sense
of humour in many prints, it does not become frivolous. For the judges,
there was never any doubt that this thoroughgoing professional is a worthy
recipient of the title "Press Photographer of the Year". |
