Summer is half over but the fun has yet to really begin. But get ready!
Milwaukee Irish Fest is ready to kick off on the sprawling Lake Michigan
showgrounds, Aug. 19-24, with all the flair and fun that has long been
the earmark of the Mother of All Irish Festivals. Spotlighting the Isles
of Ireland this year, the festival touches on the romance and the history
of the islands dappling the sea around world of Erin. Milwaukee’s own coastline
is the perfect host site...if you can’t go to the sea, bring it to you.
More festivals are on the horizon, as well: the Kansas City Irish
Fest,
Sept. 3-5; the 8th annual Celtic Fest in Chicago, Sept. 18-19; and
Michigan
Irish Music Festival will be held on Sept. 17-19th in downtown Muskegon.
This issue again sports a fine collection of short stories, book excerpts
and poetry, plus a review of news, a bit of calendar detail and loads of
other information designed to keep summer on hand just a little bit longer.
Hey, there’s always time to enjoy the Green Way of Life.
Martin Hintz, publisher.
