Natalie McMaster Tour Dates Announced.

On Friday, January 2nd, Grammy-nominated fiddler Natalie MacMaster will perform on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, on the NBC television network. McMaster will showcase her lyrical fiddle-playing from Blueprint, her first studio album in four years. On Blueprint, Natalie combines the fiddle music of her native Cape Breton Island with the bluegrass music of banjo players Bela Fleck and Alison Brown, Dobro player Jerry Douglas, mandolinist Sam Bush, bassist Edgar Meyer and others.

The upcoming appearance caps off a busy year for McMaster. Released in September, Blueprint continues to garner critical acclaim. The Washington Post said, "the star of the session is MacMaster’s fiddle. Even on the briskest tunes, there’s an effortless flow to her playing as she slides into strange tangents and adds unexpected grace notes as if they were the most natural thing in the world."

On Dec. 2, she performed with Mark O’Connor alongside musical greats Yo-Yo Ma, Bobby McFerrin, Itzhak Perlman, Pinchas Zukerman and others at Carnegie Hall in New York City, for a benefit entitled "Fiddlefest at Carnegie, presented by Opus 118 Harlem Center for Strings."

McMaster and her exuberant band have been touring successfully throughout the country in support of Blueprint. In January, they’ll kick off the second leg of their tour, performing across the northeast and Midwest (all dates below).
